The Advertiser-Courier holds the record of being the oldest established business in Hermann in terms of continuous service to the community. It also is the oldest newspaper in Gasconade County. The newspaper was founded in 1854 by Jacob Graf, and through the years has been recognized for its contribution to the communityıs growth and progress through the endorsement and support of city, school and industrial improvement programs.
